INGREDIENTS
10 oz firm tofu
2 tbs sweet Chile sauce
2 tbs soy sauce
3 tbs sesame oil
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tbs maple syrup
1 cup sliced green onions
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 1/2 cut mushrooms
1 tbs sesame seeds
3 tbs sunflower oil
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl mix together the Chile sauce, soy sauce, 2 tbs sesame oil, vinegar and maple syrup . Cut the tofu into squares and put it in the bowl.
In a medium frying pan heat 2 tbs sunflower oil, add the mushrooms, stir, add the crushed red pepper and the green onions , mix for 2 minutes , transfer to a bowl.
Leave the pan on high heat, add 1 more tbs of sunflower oil, put the tofu, reduced to medium heat and cook from all sides until it gets a brownish color from all sides.
Add the leftover marinade from the tofu to the pan, reduce heat to low, add the last sesame tbs, add back the vegetables, let it cook for 2 minutes and then turn off, transfer to a large plate, put the tofu first then put the vegetables around and on top, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
