INGREDIENTS
2 large onions
1 bag of frozen vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans)
1 pound of chicken breast
2 cups of basmati rice
1/2 a tsp turmeric
1/2 a tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 a cup water
DIRECTIONS
Cook the 2 cups of rice with 3 cups of water, a little salt and oil, and let it cook on low after the water went down.
On a separate pot cook the chicken breast with a little bit of salt and 2 cups of water for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile, use a container that can go on in the oven and on the gas as well, cut the onions and fry them with 3 tbs of oil, add the remaining salt, pepper, turmeric, and the bag of vegetables, cook for a few minutes, and stir. Remove chicken breast , cut it into strips and put it on top of the vegetables, mix. Add the 2 cups of rice, half a cup of water, the remaining oil and mix everything on medium heat for a few minutes.
Heat the oven for 350F and transfer the container to the oven with a lid and cook for at least an hour.
